Can you make modifications to applications built by another developer?

In many cases it is possible for us to help you make modifications to a database created by another developer. If you have an existing application that you are interested in modifying, one of our developers can determine if it is possible for us to help you.

Do you provide onsite assistance and/or mentoring?

Definitely. If you have an application that requires work to be carried out, you are building a new database and require some help to get it off the ground, or are looking for advice on best practice for a project you are working on, we can provide onsite mentoring to help your staff complete their project.

Does Geckodb provide ongoing support?

Absolutely. We can provide ongoing additional updates to your application so that it grows with your business, either on an ad hoc fee-for-service arrangement or we can provide ongoing support under a retainer arrangement. We will always fix any software bugs free of charge.

Can you assist in implementation and training?

Yes. Geckodb can help you with implementation of your new software and assist with training of staff in the use of your new system, either as one-on-one training sessions or small group training sessions.

Does my business really need a custom designed application?

Generic off-the-shelf applications may not always meet the unique needs of your business, and often businesses find themselves needing to modify their own practices to work within the limits of the software.

How are projects billed?

Once we have discussed your requirements with you, we will provide you with a detailed quotation. We ask that you return a signed copy of the quote to us along with any required deposit prior to the commencement of your work. We ask for a further progress payment on completion of your testing prototype and the final balance on completion and handover of the finished database. We will always outline the payment schedule in the quote we provide to you.

Are there any hidden costs?

We endeavour to provide detailed quotes so that our clients are aware of the software development costs prior to the commencement of a project. However, if requirements change significantly during the design and development phase of a project this, may incur additional charges. We will always inform you if this is the case prior to implementing any changes.
